THE REASONS I AM SEEKING THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES

                                                              (DISTRICT 62)

 Hello, I would like to introduce myself. I have been a Waterloo citizen for the majority of my 60+ years. During that time, I have had many opportunities to serve the people in our community. I currently serve as the Ward 4 Councilperson.

My roots run deep in the Waterloo community.

I have been blessed to be able to live, work, and raise a family in Waterloo.  I am also proud to say that my parents Jerome Sr. and Clementine Amos spent the majority of their lives in Waterloo, Iowa.  I am married to Tina Harmon-Amos between us we have 7 adult children.

 

I am seeking the House of Representatives (District62) position after some discussion and encouragement from family and friends.

Several opportunities have allowed me to learn and grow right here in our community.

 

My experience and investment in our community make me a good candidate for the District 62 position. We have many issues facing our community. I understand that as a State Representative I will be addressing important issues and making sure that all of those issues and needs are met.

There are also many positive things in our community moving us in a good direction. I hope to capitalize on those positive things, and build on them as your elected State Representative,

I can and will work with other decision-makers in the Legislature and help improve our city's image. I will work with all the citizens of Waterloo to make sure that all their voices are heard.

 

As a product of Waterloo, I will be the person in the Legislature that seeks out opportunities for the people working and living in the Cedar Valley,

I have a desire to serve the community  I live in and love, as your next House District 62 Representative!!
